Skills Badge Scheme

The Brazilian Soccer Schools training program works hand in hand with the ICFDS Skills Badge Scheme. The Futebol de Salão Skills Badge Scheme  leads to the development of players who can play the game in a way that previously people would have only associated with the great Brazilians of the past. From the very start, the central aim of BSS was to bring the best of Brazil to the world. We all look forward to the day when players who have successfully achieved level 5 are playing in teams at the very highest levels internationally..

First Step & Kick Start Awards
There is no doubt that even Level 1 of the ICFDS Skills Badge Scheme is difficult to achieve. For our younger players we have introduced two starter levels which will aid the development of basic ball manipulation and passing skills and then help them to progress on to mastering simple ball-juggling techniques.

Children achieving both these awards can apply for a certificate and a special presentation case, containing the ICFDS 'First Step' and 'Kick Start' Badges, to mark their achievement

Level 1 - Green Award

The first award in the Skills Badge Scheme is the take-off point for all children and provides a good framework from which to develop all the skills needed for the awards scheme. Children will become proficient at 'Core Dribbling Skills', 'Two-footed Juggling' and 'Accurate Passing'. Many hours of practice are required to pass the Level 1 stage. With dedication and training, Level 1 will provide children with the foundations for footballing excellence.

Children achieving this award can apply for a certificate and a special presentation case, containing the Skills Badge Award and 7 modular coins, to mark their achievement.

Level 2 - Blue Award

The second level of the scheme challenges players to improve their ball control and foot speed to a standard higher than that of a young Professional Academy player. Children now have to carry out the core skills with a greater degree of accomplishment and must also have mastered more of the skills from the 'Moves 2 Beat Players' and 'Changes of Direction / Turns' syllabus.

Children achieving this award can apply for a certificate and a special presentation case, containing the Skills Badge Award and 7 modular coins, to mark their achievement.

Level 3 - Bronze Award

The Bronze award recognizes children who have achieved a good level of technical skill and ball control. Young players at this level will be amongst the best for their age in their region or city. Hundreds of hours of practice will have been spent with the ball, in order to achieve this award. Youngsters who reach Level 3 will now be really starting to express their creativity and technique during matches, making them dangerous attacking players.

Children achieving this award can apply for a certificate and a special presentation case, containing the Skills Badge Award and 7 modular coins, to mark their achievement.

Level 4 - Silver Award

Children who have achieved this award will be recognized as players who have worked hard to improve their skills and now posses a very high level of technical ability. A child who has achieved Level 4 will be more technically advanced than the vast majority of young players. The level 4 silver award is an excellent achievement for any young footballer.

Children achieving this award can apply for a certificate and a special presentation case, containing the Skills Badge Award and 7 modular coins, to mark their achievement.

Level 5 - Gold Award

This represents the pinnacle of technical excellence and any young player who achieves this award will have given themselves the best possible chance of developing a career in football at the highest level. Without doubt, this is an extremely hard award to achieve and it will have taken thousands of hours of practice to reach this elite level. A Level 5 player will truly be one of the World’s most skillful young players.

Children achieving this award can apply for a certificate and a special presentation case, containing the Skills Badge Award and 7 modular coins, to mark their achievement.
